P2i, a spin out from
DSTL, has had its first day of commercial production after finishing
its commissioning trial. The machines being used at the pilot plasma
facility have been designed and built by JLS Designs to the specifications
provided. These machines can be used to apply a liquid repellent
layer to a numerous materials.
At the commissioning
sign off John Sambell Managing Director of JLS Designs, commented,
”we have set up P2i’s pilot plant to be highly flexible
to customers’ production or process development needs. Besides
laying products on trays, you can also hang racks of clothes in
the plasma, run fabrics reel-to-reel or simply tumble smaller items
in a basket."
